Change of Name for The LAD
The LAD Website Services Pty Ltd changed its name to JD Stride Pty Ltd on 22 March 2021.
Our ABN remains the same.
Why the change?
When Darren and John started the business in 1999, they had a focus of ‘helping small business use the web’.
Our efforts in those days were centred on providing local businesses with a website, email and SEO.
When Google Ads came on the scene in 2004, we were one of the earliest advocates of online marketing in Australia.
Then, as the cloud developed and more powerful mobile phones became available, we saw the emergence of software as a service (SaaS) applications that had the potential to radically alter business processes.
Initially we used these programs to improve our own productivity and to keep track of hectic schedules and contacts. Not surprisingly, over time, we found clients had similar and other problems for which we had solutions. We could also help with their implementation.
This ‘non website’ work has continued to evolve.
With COVID 19, the trend to modernize business processes has quickened. Ecommerce is thriving and more efficient management of business processes, including remote access, is in high demand.
So today we find larger companies asking us for Google Workspace services, help and advice about online security and eCommerce applications that link to their warehouse activities and product delivery systems.
We are still helping companies use the web, but the projects have become larger and more complex.
We are now advising companies on how to digitise their business processes to be more efficient e.g. connecting their eCommerce website to back-end cloud ERP for order processing.
That is why it is time to rebrand.
Will the rebrand affect service for existing clients?
While we see consultancy on a broad range of digital issues a major focus going forward, all our existing services will remain unchanged.
However, we aim to help clients push the boundaries of what’s possible for their business. To help them harness the power of the cloud and the latest marketing techniques to grow their businesses.
Also our initial vision of ‘helping business use the web’ remains our passion.
Our decision to rebrand is recognition that, just as times have changed with evolving technology, so have the services that are requested by our clients.
